Navigating Baby’s First Foods: A Guide to Starting Solids!
Starting from 4 months of age, it’s an exciting milestone for both you and your baby! In this course, you’ll find out everything you need to know to ensure a smooth transition to solid foods:
- Timing: When is the right time to introduce solids? We will cover the signs that show your baby is ready for complementary foods and how to begin the process.
- Porridge vs. Finger Food: Learn the differences between starting with purees (porridge) and offering finger foods, and the benefits of both approaches.
- Baby-Led Weaning: Understand the concept of baby-led weaning, which allows babies to explore solids on their own terms and develop important motor skills.
- Creating a Suitable Environment: Discover how to create a safe and supportive environment for your baby to enjoy mealtimes, making sure both you and your baby feel comfortable.
- Prevention of Dangers & Allergies: We will guide you on how to introduce foods gradually and safely, with tips on identifying and avoiding common allergens, choking hazards, and other potential dangers.
By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident in navigating this exciting new stage in your baby’s development and ensure that mealtimes are enjoyable and safe!
